Project — Survey Construction

Copper Ridge Subdivision

Home / Projects / Copper Ridge

Overview

40 Lots Staked in Three Days

Copper Ridge Homes broke ground on a 40-lot subdivision in Erie with foundations scheduled back-to-back. Our job: full construction staking — lot corners, building envelopes, utilities and curb — plus as-builts for closeout.

Challenge

A Compressed Schedule on Fresh Grading

Mass grading finished just days before foundations were due, leaving soft ground, shifting curb lines and a survey control network buried under fresh fill. Any staking error would cascade across 40 foundations.

Approach

Control First, Then Speed

We re-established primary control from off-site monuments, ran a closed GPS network across the site, then deployed two robotic crews staking in parallel — lot lines one day, envelopes and utilities the next, curb and final checks on day three.

Cut sheets hit the superintendent's inbox each evening; every foundation fit the plat to the inch.

Deliverables

Lot staking, utility and curb stakes, foundation as-builts, final plat support.

Result

All 40 foundations poured on schedule with zero restakes — the developer's fastest phase to date.
