Our Story
A Family-Run Survey Firm With Big-Firm Precision
Plumbline started in 1999 with one total station, a pickup truck and a simple rule: never file a plat you would not defend in court. Twenty-five years later we run six field crews, two survey drones and a full drafting studio — but the rule has not changed.
Today we serve homeowners settling a fence line, developers staking hundred-lot subdivisions and engineers who need control they can trust. Every survey is performed or directly supervised by a Colorado Professional Land Surveyor.

Why Plumbline
What Guides Every Survey
Defensible Accuracy
Closed traverses, redundant GPS observations and independent checks — our boundaries stand up to review, resale and dispute.
Schedules We Keep
Closings, concrete pours and filing deadlines do not wait. We quote realistic dates — then beat them more often than not.
Plain-English Service
Easements, setbacks and legal descriptions explained without jargon, with a surveyor who answers the phone.
Our Promise
Licensed, Insured and Accountable
Every Plumbline plat carries the stamp of a Colorado Professional Land Surveyor and full errors-and-omissions coverage. If any agency questions our work, we answer — free.
- Colorado PLS No. 38214 — active license, verified annually
- $2M liability coverage on every crew and flight
- FAA Part 107 drone pilots for all aerial mapping
